RAGE OF THE HEART is a sung through musical
with a symphonic score. It has had several long workshops and concert
performances. In 1997 the entire musical play was produced in Providence
RI by Sandford Gorodetsky and Odets Productions to critical and
audience acclaim. Thousands of the play-going public have written
that it was by far the best musical they had ever seen and can't
wait to see it again. When it was performed in Providence, audiences
flew great distances to see it, some from as far away as London.
The musical has conflict, suspense, humor and triumph! A few quotes
from the Providence Journal critic: "His musical is filled with resonant, sometimes
ravishing music."......"Garzilli's ballads are things of beauty." Songs
such as Do I Hold You? or the chill-making piece that comes after the lovers
have been separated, I’ll always be with you, you know you are in the
presence of a composer of the first rank in the world of musicals. Garzilli's
work has the meaning and drive of the best."

From Keara Donohoe, Soprano on this
new CD: “I
am a 2004 Graduate of The Sydney Conservatorium of Music in
Australia. As a performer of both Classical and Musical Theatre
genres I have found it a great joy to sing these love filled
words as “Heloise” for her soul friend and true
love Peter Abelard. It was an emotional adventure into the
past and a privilege to feel the great love and eternal longing
between Peter and Heloise and to bring it to life once again
through this heart warming and stirring music by Enrico Garzilli.” — kearasings@hotmail.com |
A new production is being planned in
Germany.
